Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship is ready to welcome events back to the entrepreneurial university campus. With a series of preventive measures in place, we welcomed the first event visitors since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our entrepreneurial university campus, the biggest startup-hub in Rotterdam, has stepped up preventive measures to ensure a safe, hygienic and comfortable environment for both tenants and event visitors. We are now slowly seeing that it get busier on campus and we are very happy that we were able to organise the first meetings.

Our campus manager Rachelle Brusselaars is excited about the industry’s recovery. ‘We are all set to welcome events and tenants back to the campus. Our team has been working closely with organsiers to reschedule events impacted by the pandemic, and to implement necessary measures to address health and hygiene concerns. With the success of the first events (over 30 this month), we can demonstrate our commitment of providing professional services and customer care for event organisers and attendees.’

We cooperated with one of our community startups to create a video that shows the special preventive measures in our event arrangements, such as a floor plan design and social distancing guidelines. You can watch the video here:

New set-up for our event rooms
While carefully following all the guidelines set by the national institute for health and environment (RIVM) to prevent the spread of coronavirus, we are allowed to host gatherings under the 30 participants. We have taken the necessary measures and precautions to be able to provide high-quality and safe services. As shown in the video, our venue capacity is adjusted with a guaranteed 1.5m distance. Directional floor markings and signs are placed to create a safe flow of movement. Our staff has been trained to ensure your safety, providing a briefing at the beginning of your meeting to ensure that everyone is aware of the safety measures that we have taken.

• Auditorium – max 20 people
• Harbour Room – max 12 people

Visit our website for a complete overview of our adjusted event spaces and meeting rooms. Bigger congresses and events can still be hosted at our campus, but with the use of multiple spaces. In collaboration with our technical partners, we can assist with video conferencing or hybrid meeting facilities.
