Dutch companies less innovative
18 November 2014
The innovation capabilities of Dutch firms have gone down last year. That is the conclusion of the Erasmus Competition and Innovation Monitor (Erasmus Concurrentie en Innovatie Monitor), a yearly study by the Erasmus University.
The number of new products and services introduced, so-called ‘radical innovations’, fell by 6% between 2013 and 2014. There was also a decline of 4% in the number of improvements (‘incremental innovations’) launched, resulting in the lowest innovation level since the research started back in 2006.
