ECE welcomed the mayor of Rotterdam
Last week, we were very happy to welcome over 500 visitors to our ECE campus. We started the week with the ‘Zaken Doen met de Buren’ (Doing Business with the Neighbours) event, organised by the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) on Tuesday 23th January, followed by the Ondernemersontbijt (Entrepreneur’s breakfast) and the eHealth Agenda Rotterdam on Thursday 25th January.
Zaken Doen met de Buren
The aim of the event was to facilitate and provide insights into doing cross-border business with Germany, Belgium, France, and the United Kingdom.
During the event, more than 100 entrepreneurs had a chance to discuss with commercial attachés from the Dutch embassies and the Netherlands Business Support Offices in the neighbouring countries. They also had the opportunity to network and exchange their knowledge and experiences with each other and experienced entrepreneurs.

Ondernemersontbijt Rotterdam
On Thursday 25th, we were honoured to welcome the mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, during the Ondernemersontbijt (Entrepreneur’s breakfast) event where entrepreneurs and representatives of the municipality of Rotterdam had the opportunity to do business and exchange ideas in a pleasant atmosphere. This event has been held regularly over the past decade and is said to be one of the best networking event in Rotterdam.

Aboutaleb also shared his thought on the Ondernemersontbijt’s official website:
“The Entrepreneur’s Breakfast Rotterdam always manages to surprise me with special locations, and it’s good to be able to speak to the entrepreneurs from our city in an informal setting, and for me it’s always inspiring to be a host”
eHealth Agenda Rotterdam
Directly after the breakfast, the eHealth Agenda Rotterdam event was held. eHealth Agenda aims to promote adoption of eHealth within the region of Rotterdam. During the event, organisations such as Tiny Bots, Slimmer Pregnant, and Maia Recumbents pitched about their working solutions. Additionally, there was also an eHealth Market, where Hogeschool Rotterdam and other organisations demonstrate their successful projects.
