European Business Plan of the Year Competition

Capacity: Team of 2-4 Starting: 1431475200 17:00 - 18:30

The European Business Plan of the Year Competition is a startup business plan competition of top European business schools. The European competition is starting on Thursday June 25 (with a late afternoon welcome reception) and ending on Saturday June 27.

This year the event will be organized by Rotterdam School of Management in collaboration with ECE.  Leading up to the European competition each participating business school will select one student team to participate in the EBPYC.

On May 13 there will be a local competition to select this year’s team on behalf of Rotterdam School of Management. MSc and MBA students – in teams of 2, 3 or 4 students – are kindly invited to submit their startup proposal (one page A4).

The teams with the most promising business ideas will be invited to present their proposals in front of an expert panel, followed by a Q&A (7 minute presentation; 8 minute Q&A). The panel will select the best RSM team, which will therefore be allowed to participate in the EBPYC. Please note that the EBPYC assumes that startup teams are looking for outside equity capital (regardless of the exact source and scale of this capital).

The winning RSM team is expected to develop at least an executive summary of 3 pages before June 9. On top of that, but optional, a business plan of up to 30 pages can be submitted to the EBPYC. In the build-up, the winning team will receive coaching and pitching advice from the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE).
