The Health Innovation Challenge 2015 – Challenges in health care

Within the health care sector there are many different challenges we need to overcome.  The Health Innovation Challenge 2015 aims bring together SMEs to develop solutions to challenges in health care. Several large organizations have selected a number of challenges for this (see challenge website), and they invite you to develop solutions together with them during the Health Innovation Challenge 2015. This will be done under the guidance of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMO (Stichting Maatschappij en Onderneming) and the Rotterdam Chamber of Commerce. The Health Innovation Challenge 2015 is the initiative of the Municipality of Rotterdam.

The Challenge Day – September 10, 2015  – ECE Campus

Generate and develop ideas and solutions for care challenges within a structure

On Challenge Day you, and up to 30 fellow SME entrepreneurs, will team up in small groups to come up with ideas to solve your chosen challenge. On hand are experts from the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, and the field of health care. This day will also teach you a new structured way to approach and implement innovation and new business development within your organisation.

Pitch your idea and get up to 50% co-financing on your participation in the ECE New Business Cycle

At the end of the day you, together with your team, will pitch your idea to a jury. Here you can win co-funding to further develop your idea in the ECE New Business Cycle (you can receive up to a maximum of 50% co-funding on your participation fee). You of course are free to decide whether or not you will join the ECE New Business Cycle following the challenge.

The Challenge Day is integrated into the ZORG41 Summit

The day is integrated into the ZORG41 Summit, a meetup where several key players from the informal care sector will come together to work on creating concrete points of action that will promote a future-proof healthcare system (click here for more information).

In short, a valuable day in which you can:

• Spar with fellow SME entrepreneurs
• Learn to structure innovation processes
• Connect with potential future customers

Participation costs

• Challenge Day & ZORG41 Summit: no charge (made possible by the partners)
• Participation ECE New Business Cycle (optional): € 4.500, – per team (2 pers.), Excluding VAT and possible co- financing from the Municipality of Rotterdam.
