On the 12th of September, it is time for the 4th edition of the LSH010 Innovation Breakfast this year. This breakfast stimulates innovation and cooperation in the Life Sciences & Health-sector of Rotterdam. A presentation of a succesfull case, one-on-one meeting and a tasty and healthy breakfast are always part of this event.
Innovation in the Heart
Preventing is better than curing. Preventive heart care and monitoring the health of the heart from a distance are no longer developments of the future. Therefore, the theme of this LSH010 Innovation Breakfast is ‘Innovation in the Heart’. Cardiologist dr. CardioMEMS
Since the 1st of April, CardioMEMS is part of the basis healthpackage in the Netherlands. Dr. Jasper Brughts of Erasmus MC is responsible for this research: ”By actively monitoring the patient, the cardiologist knows if changes are needed in the medication. We expect to drastically reducing the amount of hospital admissions.”
