The Bootcamp is an intensive, full-day workshop for teams of RSM MBA candidates to develop their initial startup ideas into viable and credible startup propositions. In addition, after this event you will have developed your personal entrepreneurial attitude.
The bootcamp will employ a mix of interactive and dynamic formats, such as mini-lectures, team presentations, break-out workshop sessions, and an energetic pitch training and competition.
In terms of content and tools the bootcamp will engage you with, amongst others: opportunity evaluation and refinement, business modeling, customer development, and assumption identification and testing.
The bootcamp is designed for up to 50 participants. Registration is team-based and each team should consist of three or four RSM MBA candidates. Each team is required to enter the bootcamp with at least one very rough, initial business idea. During the bootcamp the teams will critically assess and develop their ideas, and possibly generate and develop one or more completely different startup ideas.
The RSM Startup Bootcamp 2015 is offered to you by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) in association with RSM’s Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship Club.
The bootcamp is a stand-alone event, but participants can use it as a platform for at least three other activities:
1. MBA candidates with at least an initial business idea are encouraged to take part in the Get Started Programme. Get Started is an intense, ongoing ten-week programme created specifically to empower ambitious first-time start-up entrepreneurs. Supported by a wide range of tools and insights, you will determine if your idea is worth pursuing and if so, turn it into a scalable business.
2. On June 26 & 27 a team of RSM students will participate in the European Business Plan of the Year Competition. This competition rotates between leading European business schools and this year it will be hosted at RSM. Later in April or in May there will be a local RSM competition to select the team that will represent RSM at this European event (this local round is also open to RSM MSc entrepreneurship students). MBA Bootcamp participants are encouraged to submit their executive summaries and present their start-up idea at this local competition. For additional details about the local competition of EBPYC, please click here.
3. MBA candidates who will participate in the elective The Entrepreneurial Lab will get the opportunity to further develop and execute their start-up ideas during this elective. The elective is subject to enrollment: participation in the bootcamp does not guarantee participation in the elective.
“The setting was such that we could constantly get ideas and feedback to improvise. It was excellent.”

Costs are 15 Euros per person (lunch, coffee & tea, snacks, drinks included)
The Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship will select the teams for participation in the bootcamp (with the maximum number of participants being 50). The deadline for registration is April 1 23:59 hours.
