Introducing our new Talented Student Entrepreneurs!
With five new Talented Student Entrepreneurs on the scene, this academic year kicked off in high entrepreneurial spirits at Erasmus University Rotterdam! In this news update, we would like to introduce our newest participants to the Talented Student Entrepreneur Programme.
Within this programme, we support ambitious student entrepreneurs in combining their studies and startups by providing them with a dedicated study advisor from their faculty and access to the network of Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, including the Graduate Entrepreneur community. The programme allows participants to organise their studies more flexibly according to their business needs, e.g. in terms of time schedules and class participation. This combination of educational and entrepreneurial support can help produce successful alumni that are also strong entrepreneurs.
These are the promising young student entrepreneurs that we recently accepted to the programme after they pitched their startups to us at our new Erasmus Enterprise campus:
Andrei Deliagin founded Buddle last year during his first year of studying International Business Administration (IBA) at Rotterdam School of Management. Buddle is an intelligent virtual assistant for product managers that allows for easy access to all kinds of different workplace services.
Benedikt Albertsen (IBA student) is the founder of SAROWA – an innovative social startup that tackles one of the biggest environmental concerns in the resource consuming fashion industry (an average t-shirt needs 2800 litre water, no matter whether it’s fair-trade, bio or another certification!). SAROWA upcycles fabrics to create new, colourful bags using production technology that creates strictly limited and unique products. As a socially responsible startup, they give people in Cambodia a chance to live a better life by employing physically disabled people and paying them fair wages. On top of that, SAROWA donates up to 2 months of school meals to children in need.
The COVID-situation has shown the world how important it is to be digitally visible and to provide a customer experience from the highest quality standards with the help of new technologies. That is why, a few months before starting his pre-master at Erasmus School of Economics, Marvin van der Made founded MADE Consultancy, a growth specialist that supports B2B business to structure and optimize their marketing and sales activities.
Nowadays, everyone follows people – influencers, musicians, actors, streamers or any other form of creator. At Jelly, co-founders (and IBA students) Daniel Berman and Max Wolfarth are working on redefining what it means to be a follower. Utilizing the blockchain, and other related technologies, they work with outstanding creators to create unique, authentic and exciting experiences for their fans that morph the digital and analog world – and allow for a more intimate connection between creator and follower.
We look forward to being a part of their startup journey and supporting them in achieving their academic AND entrepreneurial ambitions!
