Together with Hogeschool Rotterdam and other higher education institutions in the region, Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship is a proud participant of O2LAB Rotterdam, a project powered by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZK). O2LAB Rotterdam combines the best of all higher education institutions (MBO, HBO and WO) in the region to further strengthen entrepreneurship education and develop entrepreneurial skills among students of all levels.  

On the 21st of September, O2LAB Rotterdam welcomes anyone with an interest in entrepreneurial education such as educators, project managers and trainers, but also SMEs and students, to join us for our community drinks. Sign up here! 

The Community Event 

For our next event, O2LAB Rotterdam joined forces with the municipality of Rotterdam to host drinks during the Talent Day of the Upstream Festival on September 21st. O2LAB Rotterdam invites all entrepreneurial education enthusiasts to join us for community drinks at 17:30, right after the Upstream talkshow “The future of work”. You can register for the O2LAB Rotterdam Community here (whether or not you’re also joining Upstream Festival beforehand). During the event, you will hear about the upcoming activities of O2LAB Rotterdam and have to chance to get to meet and share experiences with fellow entrepreneurial education enthusiasts.

O2LAB Rotterdam so far 

At the kick-off in March community members exchanged ideas on upcoming initiatives and opportunities to boost entrepreneurial education in Rotterdam. Next, O2LAB hosted the Start-It-Up Bootcamp in June, in which students from MBO, HBO and WO institutions worked together to validate and further develop their startup ideas. In addition, student entrepreneurs could join the Meet Your Co-Founder Event, in which they could find potential co-founders for their startup through speed-dating. During the Train-the-Trainer course in June teachers and educators of several education institutions were given new tools and ideas to integrate entrepreneurial skills into their courses. O2LAB Rotterdam also started with the development of innovation challenges and teaching cases in cooperation with regional SMEs.
