Last week we had 750+ visitors at the ECE Campus! After the PortXL Selection Days on Monday and Tuesday, we welcomed visitors of, among other events, the Netwerk Ontbijt Zorg Innovatie (Healthcare Innovation Networking Breakfast) and Meeting #Gezond010.

Visitors of the Netwerk Ontbijt Zorg Innovatie did not consist merely of humans! For this event – themed “Robotics” – 10 robots attended the session. The discussions revolved around the question whether robots will replace humans in the healthcare sector? During the breakfast, plenary session, 120+ one-on-one meetings, and the round table session, participants had the opportunity to discuss and ask all the information they would like to have about robotics in healthcare sector to the experts, among others, Erwin Vught and Monique van der Linde. Next to that, they got to meet 10 robots, how cool!

The Healthcare Innovation Networking Breakfast is an initiative of the municipality of Rotterdam and this special session on robotics was a collaboration with Medical Delta Living Lab Care Robotics and Opinar. The event was also featured on AD.nl and RTV Rijnmond. 

On the same day Meeting #Gezond010 also took place at the ECE Campus. Gezond010 is an initiative of the municipality of Rotterdam and is a network of both public and private partners that collaborate to improve the health of people in Rotterdam, ‘Rotterdammers’.

Alderman Sven de Langen kicked off, addressed his ambitions for making Rotterdam a healthier city, and announced the new ambassador of Gezond010: Patrick van Luijk, former Olympic athlete. In plenary sessions partners in the network shared their knowledge and practical experience about, for example the role of employer in the health of employees, and how to make food offerings in public space healthier.
