Willem Sodderland is one of our Advisory Board members and a seasoned entrepreneur. Besides his companies Buzzable and Buzzer he has now started with a new (ad)venture. Willem has gone into seaweed! Although that is not what it looks like when it first meets the eye. The seaweed of his startup Seamore is disguished as pasta. It has the looks and feels of tagliatelle and could even be cooked the same way. Nevertheless it is 100% seaweed and a culinary discovery that is also good for the planet.

Willem vacationed on Ibiza in 2013. He ordered a ‘seaweed salad’ in a restaurant. Willem couldn’t find the seaweed on his plate and didn’t believe his wife when she pointed at the green tagliatelle on his plate. The chef had to convince him that the tagliatelle wasn’t tagliatelle at all, but seaweed. Picked from the rocks. An idea began to take shape:
